A major manufacturer of industrial variable pitch fans contacted Rotary Systems looking for a replacement rotary union for their engine cooling system.  The vibration from the machine was causing our competitors seal to crack leading to hydraulic leaks and catastrophic failures in the field. 

 
We designed and manufactured a high speed, low torque rotary union to transfer hydraulic fluid to change the pitch of the blades. What else does the rotary union do for the fan?  It assists in regulating the engine fluid temperatures and eliminates power surges found with clutches and other reversing fans. It also has the ability to reverse itself which aids in cleaning the radiator.
 
The OEM tested our union, without failure, through a rigorous protocol for over 6,000 hours.   Their testing confirmed our union has a superior mechanical sealing mechanism. They have standardized on our rotary union – More evidence that Rotary Systems builds the highest quality rotary unions on the market.
