The Big Screen Finds Rotary Systems

When a major motion picture studio had a special effects idea for an upcoming “Harry Potter” film, they contacted Rotary Systems.  A large three-passage union was designed to pass hydraulic pressure to a system to rotate Harry’s broomstick.  The robust union featured carbon steel construction, 1” NPT connections and a through bore for the broomstick. Rotary Systems’ unions have been featured on stage as well.  A similar union was used for rotating the rising stage for the Broadway production of “The Lion King”.
