When a large, international semiconductor company was developing a process to clean their silicon wafers they contacted Rotary Systems for help. Needing to pass a proprietary cleaning solution and Nitrogen air to a spinning table, they asked us to design a custom rotary union for their specific application.

Utilizing stainless steel construction, a ceramic plated shaft, and our proprietary sealing technology, we designed and manufactured a custom rotary union to the user’s exacting specifications. This three passage union was designed to rotate at speeds up to 3,000 rpm and included an extended shaft to allow it to be driven directly by the existing motor. The resulting rotary union not only met, but exceeded the customer’s expectations.
